Dos Lagos is where we got our start. In a true value-add concept, we were introduced to the owners who had no interest in farming the vineyard, but did not want to see their property value impacted by an abandoned vineyard. We were able to put together a lease in which Vinas Del Norte invested in the grafting and farming of the vineyard, and the vineyard was profitable by Year 3. Now in our 6th year of working with the vineyard, we are extremely happy with the quality of both the Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc coming off of the property. Dos Lagos is a good example of a more efficient farming model, utilizing state-of-the-art mechanical leafers and harvesters so as to correctly balance the cost of operations with the revenue model.
